Modular Construction 2 (for steel sculptures and multi-channel electronics, in collaboration with Karla Nath):
Urban Animals Composers Recital
NYU Provincetown Playhouse May 2014 Modular steel sculptures set into vibration by surface transducers. Spectral analysis determines the resonant frequencies of each sculpture. These resonant frequencies serve as compositional materials. The multi-channel work is generated algorithmically in real-time. |
This project came out of a long period
of boredom, uncertainty, and loneliness. Frequency modulation and tape-playback emulation. Parameters controlled by probability distributions. |

Drifter (for any number of laptops):
Electronic Music Performance Recital
Performed by the NYU Laptop Orchestra NYU Recital Room May 2014 Each performer attempts to tune a single oscillator with a Max/MSP patch that slowly begins to work against their efforts. |
and even then (for string quartet):
NYU Master's Composition Recital
Performed by the JACK Quartet NYU Provincetown Playhouse May 2014 Delineation of form through stochastic distributions of material. Generated using algorithms programmed in Pure Data. |
